Where it All Began-Revisited.

December 31st, New Years Eve, 0735 hours, sitting at kitchen counter at brother Dan & Nancy's elegant home on Lake Leelanau, MI.-12 miles south of Northport Harbor, the launch site of Elissa II's Great Loop adventure.

Tomorrow we will drive up to Northport and drop a flower onto the ice choked harbor in honor the the Elissa II.  Will also drop one in for Louise as she and her crew departed from the same location a few days after we did.

With 2,200 miles under her keel, the Elissa II rests on the water in a  covered slip in Columbus MS. She is waiting (as impatiently as we are I hope) for the 1st day of March, 2013.  That is the day-just 60 days from now- when we reunite and resume Leg Three (Mississippi to the Chesapeake Bay) of our Great Loop.

On the down side, those sixty days CANNOT fly by fast enough.  On the up side, we are talking a mere 1,440 hours here, AND, if we sleep for 7 hours/day we only have 1,020 waking hours of anticipation.

See you on the Loop

Bill & Bonnie
